In accordance with the Fair Housing Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) service animals are allowed in student housing. (Under ADA, a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person's disability.) Under the Fair Housing Act (FHA) an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) is an animal that provides emotional support that alleviates one or more identified symptoms or effects of a person’s qualified disability. ESAs are not pets and are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); rather, they are animals that have been prescribed to provide necessary support or companionship to a person with a qualifying disability. Please contact LCAD Residence Life & Housing at firstname.lastname@example.org regarding Service Animals or Emotional Support Animals (ESA's).
2023/2024 academic year is $11,600/yr or $5,800/per semester. Housing agreements are valid for one academic year with the exception of students who live at the residence hall for only the spring semester.

Each fall, priority is given to newly entering, first-year students currently residing outside of a 100-mile radius of LCAD’s Main Campus. If you live within 100 miles of Laguna Beach, you still may apply for consideration. Applicants interested in living on-campus will be required to submit a Housing Deposit ONLY if accepted to the Residence Hall. Please note that Housing Deposits are non-refundable. Selected residents will be guaranteed housing only for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Priority Housing: April 1st
Housing Deadline: May 1
Students will be informed of their housing decision by May 15th.
Please note: Students must turn 18 years old within their first semester of attending LCAD to be eligible to live on-campus.
LCAD’S ON-CAMPUS HOUSING PROGRAM
Supervised by the Office of Student Life and Resident Advisors, LCAD’s On-Campus Housing Program promotes communal living in a small apartment complex. Roommates and units will be assigned based on questions and requests on the Roommate Questionnaire. Assigned roommates will coordinate cleaning, grocery buying/sharing, cooking, decorating, carpooling, and the frequency of guests. This experience strengthens life skills such as adaptation, transition, and compromise. Residents are expected to maintain the highest level of conduct. Failure to comply with all LCAD rules and regulations will result in removal from the housing program, without compensation or refund.
